Primary Leadership

Cleveland School Sport Partnership offers leadership training for primary school pupils. We deliver Playground Leader training which allows for pupils to learn how to engage and involve children of any age in getting involved in games over break and lunch times. The leadership training covers; the attributes to making a good playground leader, team building, safety, organisation/planning skills, adapting games using STEPS and delivery skills.

Secondary Leadership

The Secondary leadership training follows a similar path to the Primary leadership training however Secondary leaders will get the opportunity to use their skills outside of their school helping at festivals, development events and competitions. The leaders will learn how to deliver more skill/sport specific activities compared to game activities like the primary leaders. The leaders will then deliver to primary age children who attend the events, leaders may also be used as judges/umpires/score keepers etc.

M was a school refuser, until she discovered Sports Leadership. This is an overview of her journey and the road back into full-time education.
